We're Home

We were discharged from the hospital this morning...woohoo! Jack is feeling much better and is back to his "normal" self. He hasn't thrown up since Tuesday and just had a tiny bit of diarrhea last night (sorry if that's too much info!). Now our goal is to keep him hydrated and help him rest. Ha! The last thing he wants to do is rest. It's been a challenge. He has so much energy pent up from sitting in a bed the past 4 days. He has been eating little bits here and there, which is good. We are praying that this trend continues. Oh, he has the "official" diagnosis of Rotavirus. It's amazing how quickly this bug progressed and he got dehydrated.

Thank you all for your prayers. :) Here are some pictures from our stay at the hospital.

This was Monday evening. He was getting rehydrated and feeling a little better.

Jack and his lion. The lion was given to him by the hospital.

This was Monday night while he was asleep. He had to sleep with the lion every night.

This was Tuesday...one of our worst days/times.

Jack and Daddy reading together. This was Wednesday. He was starting to feel better at this point (notice the Cheerios).

One of Jack's favorite books - from Uncle Josh & Auntie Nan. :)

I believe this was taken Wednesday afternoon. He was OUT.

Oh I am so happy he is home and on his way to recovery. Rotovirus is not any fun! I must say Jack looks small in that big hopsital bed. Now time for you to get some rest too!

Steph,
I am so glad to hear you are home. I can't even imagine what the last few days felt like for your family. Glad Jack is better and will pray that he stays that way:)

I am so glad that Jack is so much better. I cannot imagine what my Nat would be like if he was sick and in hospital. He would be a nightmare! (Nat is 3 on Easter Sunday, so I assume he and Jack are similar ages.) Well done for making it through, now enjoy the Spring! Kate.

Oh I am so glad that you are all home and recovering. That Rotovirus is not fun...we had it when Toddler was a wee one like Jack...we didn't get to do hospital time however. I will pray now that he never has to go to the hospital again until he is 42. For your peace of mind, and for Lonnie's.
