Works-For-Me-Wednesday

Up until today, Jack has had a really tough time using the computer mouse. He finally got the logistics of it down (how to move it to where he wants it on the screen), but he kept clicking the right button and causing all kinds of problems. So....today I grabbed a permanent marker and drew a star on the LEFT button. I explained to him that he has to click on the "star button" to make the computer do what he wants. "Don't press the other button." It worked like a charm!

Oh my gosh! That's exactly what we did for our two year-old! When I saw your link description, I thought that's what I'd find! We used one of those foam stickers.

Funny!

Great idea. My daughter gets the right button most of the time, but sometimes gets the wrong one.

What a cute idea!

My husband is a computer systems administrator, so our two-year-old is already fascinated by computers.

I think I like Becky's idea of the foam stickers. My hubby would freak out about that a little less!

When my son began using the computer, many years ago, my parents bought him a mouse mouse. This mouse had two buttons for eyes and they both did the same thing. So it didn't matter which one he pressed it worked at the left button on a standard mouse.
